CAM Boy’s Lead Class 1A State Golf Tournament after Day One

(Ames) With two top players in the top ten, CAM leads the Class 1A State Golf Tournament field after day one at the Ames Golf and Country Club. The Cougars hold a one-stroke lead over Remsen, St. Mary’s, 335-336. 

Individually, Chase Jahde leads the Cougars with a four-over-par 75. He is in second place heading into Tuesday’s round,  one stroke off the lead. Seth Hensley fired an 80, ranking him tied for ninth. Lukas James shot 89 (tied for 42nd), Bradyn Bohnsack, 49th, with a first-round score of 89, Carson Carey tied for 60th with a 96, and Gavyn Jessen shot a 103 and is in 60th place. 

Keith Thompson of Hamburg is tied for sixth with a first round 78. Kamron Brownlee, of Griswold is tied for 30th with an 86.
