(Glenwood) Glenwood won three events, finished second in four others, scored 136 points, and won the team title at their home meet on Thursday.
Brooklyn Schultz won the 200 meters (28.20), Lauren Hughes outran the field in the 800 meters (2:29.30), and the 4×200 meter relay (1:48.75) earned gold to lead the Rams. Allison Koontz finished second in the 100 meters (13.71), Jaylynn Floyd second in the high jump (4-09.00), and the 4×100 meter relay team finished runner-up in a time (50.64). The 4×400 meter relay finished second in a time of (4:19.12).
Atlantic won two events, earned second place in seven other events, and scored 113.33 points. The 4×400 meter relay team of Ava Rush, Mariah Huffman, Morgan Botos, and Chloe Mullenix (4:13.56) finished ahead of the pack, and the 800 sprint medley relay team of Hailey Huffman, Jayci Reed, Mullenix, and Rush earned gold for the Trojans. The quad ran (1:54.78). Second-place performances went to Jayci Reed (17.33), 100-meter hurdles, Hailey Huffman, 200-meters (28.38), Ava Rush, 400-meters (1:02.24), Morgan Botos, 400-meter hurdles (1:09.10), and Claire Pellett finished second in the 1500 meters, (5:13.86). The distance medley team of Lila Wiederstein, Morgan Botos, Claire Wiederstein, and Mariah Huffman ran second in (4:45.80), and the shuttle hurdle relay team of Botos, Aliyah Williams, Mullenix, and Reed finished runner-up in a time of (1:13.98).
Council Bluffs, Abraham Lincoln posted two firsts, scored 78 points, and finished third. The top placings were Abby LaSale in the 400-meter hurdles (1:09.10) and Olivia Williams in the high jump (4-10.00).
Mason Hartley topped the field in the 1500 meters (5:04.37) and 3,000 (11:11.07) to lead Clarinda to a fourth-place finish with 75.33 points.
Lewis Central finished fifth with 67 points. Madison Fidone won the 400 meters in a time of (1:01.41), Jordyn Matiyow and Elise Thramer finished one-two in the shot put with tosses of (38-01.50), and (34-09.00), and Thramer grabbed first place honors in the discus (115-04).
Underwood finished sixth place with 51-points, led by Hailey Martins’ first-place run in the 100-meter hurdles (17.30), the shuttle hurdle relay team won in (1:11.65), and Jordyn Reimer sailed ( 18-01.50) to win the long jump.
Sioux City, East, Harlan, and Logan-Magnolia finished in a three-way tie for seventh place with 49 points. East won the 4×100 meter relay (49.73), and Elliana Harris clocked a first-place finish in the 100 meters in a time of (13.14). Harlan’s Lindsay Sonderman finished second in the 3000 meters in a time of (17.30). Third place went to the 4×400 meter relay team (4:21.20) and distance medley relay and Cameron Springer ended up third in the discus (101-01). Logan-Magnolia won the 4×800 (10:40.41) and distance medley relay (4:41.27).
Riverside finished 10th place, with the top performance by the second place 4×200 meter relay (1:48.78).
Creston was 11th, with 30, and Council Bluffs, Thomas Jefferson was 12th with 10 points.
