(Panora) One person was arrested following a single-vehicle injury accident in Guthrie County early Sunday morning.
The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office says the accident occurred at 12:34 a.m. at Cyprus Lane and Panorama Drive. When Deputies arrived on scene they observed a 2018 Ford Edge with significant front end damage and the airbags had been deployed. A male, identified as 42-year-old Carl Snowden of Panora, was standing outside the vehicle. While speaking with Carl, the Deputy detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and Carl was unsteady on his feet and slurred his speech. Carl admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages and consented to standardized field sobriety testing, which he failed. Carl also submitted a breath specimen for a PBT, which showed his blood alcohol content above the legal limit. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Guthrie County Jail.
The passenger, Amy Snowden of Panora, had a small laceration on her hand. She was transported to the Guthrie County Hospital by the Panora Police Department.
The Ford Edge sustained an estimated $20,000 damage.
