(Atlantic) Salute Gymnastics in Atlantic is celebrating their 10-year Anniversary.
Teresa Middents, Owner of Salute Gymnastics, said the gym opened on October 24, 2011 at 402 Chestnut Street and they were there for about five years until they were able to build a new building a 314 Walnut Street. Teresa said opening a gym has always been a dream of hers.
“I actually was a gymnast all the way up through High School and I always kept thinking there should be a place where we can do this here, Atlantic needs something like this, and so my passion kind of moved me to do that and start a new business,” explained Middents.
Salute Gymnastics will host an open house on Sunday, October 24th.
“We’re going to do an extended Open Gym from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. and everybody is welcome for that, it’s $5 for everybody regardless if you’re a member or not. Come in and see the facility, play on the equipment, learn kind of what we have; we’ll have pamphlets available as well,” said Middents. “From 2:00 to 4:00 we’re going to do an Open House; we’ll have a slideshow, I’m working on scrapbooks right now of ten-year’s worth of pictures, and then we’ll have light refreshments with cookies, lemonade and water, so come on in and see the facility.”
Teresa Middents said you’re never to old to start gymnastics. She said they do offer a free class for anyone who wants to try it out. For more information you can visit salutegymnastics.com.
