(Harlan) The Harlan Cyclones roll into Atlantic on Friday night with the top 3A ranking and unblemished record. Harlan is averaging 56-points per game from a veteran group that finished as the Class 3A State runner-up one year ago.
Harlan Head Coach Todd Bladt is proud of how his team has stepped up and is making plays.
The Cyclones talented receiver, Aidan Hall, is now playing tailback and transitioned into the position like a champ. The junior is averaging 12.8 yards per carry.
There is a unique dynamic to this game. The matchup features Atlantic Head Coach Joe Brummer squaring off against his alma mater and former coach Todd Bladt who was on the coaching staff under his father Curt when Brummer played for the Cyclones. Joe’s brother Sam is also on the Cyclones Coaching staff.
Coach Bladt is impressed with Trojans defensive line play, and Quarterback Caden Andersen’s running ability.
The Cyclones enter the contest having won 15-straight regular season football games.
The game will be broadcast on 95.7 F.M. and live-streamed on westerniowatoday.com. The pre-game starts at 6:00 p.m., kick-off at 7:00 p.m.
