(Union Co.) A Lamoni woman was transported to the hospital following a rollover accident Saturday morning.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office says Samantha Klever was driving a 2006 Jeep Liberty at Division Street and US 169 when she fell asleep at the wheel. The vehicle went into the north ditch and rolled numerous times coming to rest on the passenger side. Klever was transported to GRMC by Medic1.
The Sheriff’s Office also responded to an accident on Pole Road Monday afternoon. Eyser Marroquin Cigarroa, of Afton, was driving a 2006 Ford Fusion northbound near the Harmony Cemetery when he lost control on the loose gravel. The Ford Fusion entered the east ditch and hit a culvert, rolled and came to rest on all four wheels. Both occupants of the vehicle complained of neck and arm pain and were evaluated by medics on scene. Both refused to be transported to the emergency room.
