(Council Bluffs) The Council Bluffs Fire Department responded to a residential fire Wednesday morning.
At approximately 11:40 a.m. crews were dispatched to 3237 Avenue F for a report of a house fire. Crews arrived to find an enclosed porch on the back side of the house fully involved. The fire was spreading to a detached garage. Approximately 40 minutes after arrival the fire was declared under control. Two occupants of the home were able to escape safely.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
