(Atlantic) Atlantic High School senior Steele McLaren arrived home this morning after spending nearly five months in the hospital recovering and rehabbing from a severe brain injury he suffered in late October. Community members lined Main Street and provided Steele with a warm welcome Home.
Steele was injured in an accident on October 25. Steele spent months recovering at the University of Nebraska Medicine in Omaha. Later he was transferred to Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital and was released from there this morning. From Day one of the accident Steel and his family received an outpouring of support. In an earlier interview with KSOM/KS95 News, Steele’s Father Dustin talked about the thousands that reached out to them and what it meant to the family.
