(Des Moines) The National Weather Service issued a Wind Advisory for west central and northwest Iowa from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The original advisory included Monona, Harrison, Shelby, Audubon, Carroll, and Crawford counties. The weather service expanded the advisory to all of southwest Iowa.
Forecasters expect south winds of 25-35, with gusts up to 45-miles per hour. The gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down, causing a few power outages, and contribute to erratic and uncontrollable fire behavior.
Use caution when driving, especially if operating a high-profile vehicle.
