(Atlantic) The Atlantic Boys’ basketball team takes to the playing floor for the first time since December 4rth. The (1-1) Trojans, sidelined a week ago due to issues with COVID-19, host (1-2) Kuemper, Catholic, on Tuesday night.
Atlantic Head Coach Jeff Ebling says the team practiced altogether for the first time since the lay-off on Thursday.
Ebling says Kuemper is playing good basketball despite the (1-2) start.
Coach Ebling says John Mayhall and Mitchell Badding lead the scoring team, averaging 14 and 13 points.
Atlantic junior Ethan Sturm is practicing again after recovering from a football injury. Ebling says Sturm is getting stronger each day.
Skylar Handlos and Dayton Templeton each average 16-points per-game for the Trojans. Garrett Reynolds is the leading rebounder with 17, and Craig Alan Becker, with 14.
Coach Ebling says his team has the talent to compete with anyone. He says they need to take care of the little things, and the big things will take care of themselves.
