(Guthrie County) A Bayard, Iowa, man died in a two-vehicle crash in Guthrie County on Friday afternoon.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at around 12:15 p.m., at Justice Road and 130th Street. Authorities identified the victim as 22-year-old Brendan Bork.
According to the report, Bork was driving a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Sport westbound on 130th Street, failed to yield at the stop sign, and was struck broadside by a 2006 International semi-truck traveling northbound on Justice Road. Both the Semi and the Jeep came to rest in the west ditch.
The semi driver, 65-year-old Jimmy Hansen of Coin, Iowa, was transported by Panora EMS to the Guthrie Center Hospital.
Bork was pronounced deceased at the scene. He was transported to Woodhouse Funeral Home.
