(Oakland) Logan-Magnolia crowned three champions and earned the team title with 230-points at the Riverside Wrestling Tournament at Oakland on Saturday.
Hagen Heistand (132), Briar Reisz (152), and Rex Johnsen (285) earned individual titles to lead Lo-Ma.
In other matches; Woodbury Central’s Gunner Vohs won the (106)-pound weight class, Braden Graff, of West Sioux, earned gold at (113) and moved his record to 14-0. Jace Rose, of Riverside, confirmed his number one seeding by winning by fall in the title match at (120). Beau Klingensmith, of Woodbury Central, stays undefeated at 10-0, with a 9-1 major decision in the championship bout at (126).
Seth Danker of ACGC dominated the (138) pound weight class with two tech falls and two pins. Cullen Koedam of West Sioux, Hawarden, the number #2 seed, won a hard-fought battle in the championship match at (145), with a 3-2 decision over number one seed Wyatt Reisz of Logan-Magnolia. Number two seed Kadin Stutzman, of Atlantic/CAM, topped the number one seed, Zane Bendorf, of Harlan by a 17-2 tech fall in 5:27 to earn the title at (170). Stutzman is now 9-0 on the season.
Ty Dennison of Woodbury Central upset number one seeded, Kaiden Hendricks of Riverside in the semi-finals at (182) and finished the day off with a 4-2 decision in the title match over Mason Juhl of Pekin. Top-ranked Jackson Kinsella, of Creston, pinned his way through the (195) class, and Crew Howard, of Clarinda, championed the (220) weight bracket while hardly breaking a sweat. The senior pinned his way through the tournament, logging just a little over four-minutes of mat time.
