On Wednesday, the Atlantic School Board extended its mask mandate to reflect the Governor’s guidelines and reevaluate on December 9, 2020, at the regular Board meeting. During Wednesday’s discussion, School Board member Kristy Pellett expressed concern about the number of times students at Washington are required to wear masks due to the inability to social distance. Mr. Barber says he will be working with Mrs. Hornung and the staff to explore ways to reduce this requirement.
Mr. Barber encourages each family to celebrate Thanksgiving safely and take steps to ensure that the family traditions do not spread COVID.
