(Glenwood) Harlan places three runners in the top ten and five in the top twenty and captured the girl’s team title at the Glenwood Cross Country meet on Saturday with 50-points.
Brecken VanBaale led the Cyclones with a sixth-place finish, Liv Fruend finished eighth, and Kaia Bieker crossed the finish line in ninth place to lead the Cyclones. Abi Albertsen also figured into the scoring with a 14th place finish, and Ellie Gross ended up in 17th place.
Urbandale finished second with 55-points, Glenwood third with 60, fourth Atlantic, 94, fifth Tri-Center, 146, sixth Lewis Central, 169, seventh Shenandoah, 184, eighth, Lewis Central, 200, and ninth, Council Bluffs, Thomas Jefferson, 213.
Peyton Pogge, of Tri-Center, won the individual title in a time of 19.57.74. Emma Hughes of Glenwood finished second, Crystal Ruden, of Urbandale, third, Taylor McCreedy, Atlantic, fourth, and Macy Gaskill, of Urbandale rounded out the top five.
