(Provo, UT) — Iowa St. could have its sternest test of the season tonight as they visit #8 BYU, coverage on KSOM.
The Cyclones are coming off a 45-42 win over West Virginia. The passing game erupted for 312 yards — Jaylen Raynor was 19 of 27 passing for 264 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT plus Aiden Flora threw 2 TD passes of 46 and 2 yards. Cody Jackson caught 6 passes for 160 yards and a TD and Dominic Overby had 3 receptions for 70 yards. Head Coach Jimmy Rogers like the play calling
Former ADM grad Aiden Flora had a monster game — in a addition to his TD passes, he rushed 22 times for a career high 212 yards and 3 TD and was named AP National Player of the Week. Rogers says the award is great but Flora is only worried about winning
On defense, the theme has not changed — Rogers says there were still too many missed tackles in the Mountaineers game
Iowa St. will go from defending a running quarterback to a Bear — Rogers says Bear Bachmeier for BYU is more likely to run through you
The Cougars will be without their star linebacker Isisah Glasker and last year’s Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year RB L.J. Martin.
Game time tonight is at 9:15 pm, we will join the football game on KSOM immediately after Griswold at CAM.
