(Atlantic) The Atlantic City Council at Wednesday’s regular meeting recognized Bob McHugh’s three decades of dedicated service with the Atlantic Police Reserves.
Atlantic Mayor Rob Clausen says McHugh joined the reserves in September 1996 after serving two years as a reserve deputy with the Page County Sheriff’s Office. Clausen says he brought a passion for serving others that has stayed with him throughout his career.
Clausen stated that during his 30 years of service, McHugh has played an important role in the Atlantic Police Reserves, which the Iowa State Reserve Law Officers Association has recognized seven times as Unit of the Year
Clausen says Bob McHugh embodied what it means to have a service heart.
Mayor Clausen congratulated McHugh for this remarkable milestone, and the city and police department look forward to many more years of serving alongside you.
