(Atlantic) The Atlantic Police Department welcomes two new members to the Atlantic Police Reserves, Rod James and Devin Mayne.
At Wednesday’s City Council meeting, Atlantic Mayor Rob Clausen led the swearing-in ceremony for two new Atlantic Police Department Reserve Officers.

Rod James joined the Atlantic Police Reserves in July 2026. He served 10 years in the U.S. Air Force and has worked for 30 years as a Civilian Investigator with the Douglas County Attorney’s Office. He also serves with the Shenandoah Police Reserves.

Devin Mayne also joined the Atlantic Police Reserves in July 2026. He is completing online training through the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy and works in the Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office Jail Division. Mayne holds an associate degree in Criminology and Forensics Technology.
