(Storm Lake, IA) — After getting stormed out on Monday, Harlan competed in the Storm Lake Cross Country Meet on Tuesday.
Jeffrey Gross had the biggest day for the Cyclones finishing in 3rd place with a time of 16:49.3. Ian Ten Napel of Hull Western Christian finished first at 16:22.5 with Isaac Hummel of MOC Floyd Valley in 2nd at 16:31.5.
Also for Harlan: Erik Heslink was 25th, Brogan Schechinger 31st, Nathan Sandquist 86th and Daniel Kay 115th. Harlan finished 9th out of 14 teams. Sioux Center won the team title with 46 points while MOC Floyd Valley was 2nd with 93
For Denison Schleswig, Kevin Sanchez was 10th at 17:25.8 and Angel Garcia 11th at 17:26.2.
Hayden Krieger of Kuemper Catholic finished 17th (17:33.8).
There were 247 boys runners.
On the girls side, the Cyclones finished 5th with MOC Floyd won with 76 and Sioux Center 2nd with 81.
Julia Heslink had the best finish for Harlan in 9th place (20:01.9) while Ashlyn Rau was 11th (20:15.6). Also for the Cyclones, Aspen Bieker was 28th, Sadie Alberti 33rd and Josie Sonderman 44th.
Natalie Anderson of MOC Floyd Valley was 1st at 17:33.5.
Taelen Young of D-S was 29th.
Taylor Heithoff of KC finished 12th (20:24.3).
There were 177 total girls runners.
