The High School football season has begun and Radio Iowa has released their first poll for 2026. Broadcasters from around the state of Iowa vote in the weekly poll including KSOM/KS 95.
Audubon is ranked #1 in the Pre Season poll with the team they beat in the Quarterfinals of last year’s playoffs — Iowa Valley — number two. The defending champion Bishop Garrigan of Algona is #3 and Woodbine #4. Bedford is ranked 10th.
Kuemper Catholic is the defending champion in Class 2A and is ranked first in the poll. Van Meter is 2nd.
Treynor is ranked 9th in Class 1A.
Carroll is ranked 6th in Class 3A.
Lewis Central is ranked 7th in 4A.
Radio Iowa’s Scouting Report can be heard every Friday night at 5:00 on KSOM and the Radio Iowa Scoreboard Show is on Friday night at 10:00 pm on both KSOM and KS 95.
