(Ames, IA) — There is a ton of uncertainty surrounding the Iowa St. football team coming into the season. However, the Cyclones do have some strong potential on the defensive end spots. Washington St. transfer Isaac “Bobby” Terrell was named Second Team All Preseason at DE. Last year for the Cougars, he had 12 tackles for a loss and 7 sacks. Head Coach Jimmy Rogers inherited him at Washington St. and is thankful that he convinced him to come to ISU
The other Defensive End spot could be either Caden Crawford or Jack Janikowski. Crawford played for the Iowa Hawkeyes for three seasons but saw limited time on the field. Last year he was with South Dakota and started all 15 games, earning Second Team All Conference in the Missouri Valley. Janikowski is another Washington St. transfer that will compete with Crawford on the right side opposite Terrell. Rogers says Janikowski is admired on and off the field
Iowa St. opens their season on Saturday, September 5 hosting Southeast Missouri; coverage all season long on KSOM.
