(Corning, IA) — Southwest Valley Girls Tennis will open their new season today. The Timberwolves did not earn a win last year and lose three seniors plus their #1 singles player Deklyn Mullen chose to focus on volleyball this fall. So Head Coach Micayla Vanderhoef will turn to Senior Adelynn Cripps as her number one player this year
The only other player with experience returning is Junior Fiona McDaniel and after that Vanderhoef will look for somebody to step in the three through 6 singles positions
With so much inexperience, Vanderhoef is not looking at wins and losses right now instead just hoping to develop the fundamentals in her players
Southwest Valley will visit Glenwood today and then do not have another match until next Monday hosting Clarke Community.
