(Cedar Falls, IA) — The Iowa High School Shrine Bowl will be on Saturday at the UNI Dome in Cedar Falls — the all-star football game will feature seniors from around the state divided into North and South. AC/GC’s Joe Crawford has been selected to play on the South team and while he played running back for the Chargers he is moving to wide receiver in this game which is something new for him
Crawford is used to playing in the triple option running attack at AC/GC but now they are going to a more spread, pro style offense which is another adjustment
The biggest highlight for Crawford is developing new friendships with some of the other players including some of the guys he played against with the Chargers
Crawford is not playing sports in college so this will be his final high school athletic activity and he cannot think of a better way to end it
Crawford plans on going to Iowa St. in the fall and major in Ag Studies.
