(Colesburg, Iowa) A woman in Delaware County suffered serious injuries when struck by a vehicle driven by a 14-year-old driver.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened on Thursday at around 3:38 p.m. At 420 Franklin Street in Colesburg.
According to the report, the 14-year-old male, whose name was not released, was driving a 2004 Toyota Highlander and struck the woman in her front yard at 420 Franklin Street in Colesburg.
Authorities say University of Iowa AirCare transported the woman to University of Iowa Hospitals for treatment of injuries.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office and the Colesburg and Earlville ambulance services.
