(Powesschiek County) One person died in a semi-pedestrian crash in Poweshiek County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened early this morning on eastbound Interstate 80 near the 198 mile marker. Authorities did not identify the pedestrian killed in the crash that occurred around 1:37 a.m.
The preliminary report states the male pedestrian walked into the roadway and was struck by the 2019 Cascadia Freightliner.
The Holland Funeral transported the deceased male to the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
