(Audubon) The Audubon County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved a 28E agreement with Guthrie County to temporarily share a Veterans Affairs Director.
Board Chair Kent Grabil says following the recent resignation of Audubon County’s Veterans Affairs Director, the county will enter into a one-year agreement with Guthrie County while it searches for a replacement.
Grabil says Guthrie County’s Veterans Affairs Director has agreed to assist Audubon County with financial responsibilities and other essential duties during the transition.
He says anyone hired as the new Veterans Affairs Director must complete the required certification process.
Meanwhile, the job opening has recently been advertised in the local newspaper.
The Audubon County Board of Supervisors will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, July 14, at 9:00 a.m. at the Audubon County Courthouse.
