(Lenox) A Lenox man died Friday afternoon after being pulled from the water at Wilson Lake near Lenox.
The Taylor county Sheriff’s Office says at approximately 2:54 pm they received a 911 call about a fisherman that went under water at Wilson Lake. Lenox Fire, Taylor County Ambulance, and the Midwest Dive Team were dispatched. At approximately 3:16 pm members of the Lenox Fire Department removed a male from the water. Lifesaving measures were given but he was declared deceased at 3:56.
The 49 year old Lenox man was transported to the state medical examiner’s office in Ankeny for autopsy. The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification to family.
