(Jasper, County) A Knoxville, Iowa, man died in a motorcycle crash in Jasper County early this morning.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened around 4:16 a.m. on eastbound Highway 163 near the 23-mile marker. Authorities say 31-year-old Zachariah Paul Lewis Pollock died in the crash.
According to the report, Pollock was driving an eastbound 2020 Harley Davidson Motorcycle when it left the roadway, struck a culvert, and overturned. Pollock was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Jasper County EMS transported Pollock to the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
The accident is currently under investigation.
