(Atlantic) A woman from Atlantic has reached out to the media regarding an accident involving her daughter.
Judy Thompson, who works at Fischer Photography, reported that her daughter, Vickie Erickson, is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a hospital in Omaha following a motor vehicle accident on June 1 near Walnut.
According to the family members, the accident happened on County Road M47. Vickie sustained multiple injuries, including broken bones in her back, legs, chest, and right arm.
She was en route to the hospital in Omaha for a check-up when she lost control of her vehicle on a curve, causing it to plunge 40 to 50 feet into a ditch. A passerby discovered her and immediately called 911. The car was reported to be a total loss.
