(Neola, IA) — After three straight losses to start the season, Tri Center softball has turned it around with two wins in their last three games. The third was an extra inning 11-10 loss at Underwood. The Trojans do not have a senior on this year’s squad. Head Coach Chad Thomas says that it did not help that three of their first four opponents were ranked and Tri Center is missing some players because of injuries including Reese Dittmer and Kari Plambeck.
The Trojans are led offensively by 8th grader Addie Atanasu (.438) and Junior Kendall Attanasio (.412) and Thomas says they both have worked hard
The biggest issue for Tri Center is defense with 25 errors and an .852 field percentage. Thomas says that will improve with more experience
In the circle, the Trojans are led by Junior Caitlin Greiner with 38 strikeouts in 32 plus innings and has cut her ERA from 4.90 to 2.16
Tri Center will visit IKM Manning tonight.
