(Atlantic) In-person absentee voting begins on Wednesday, May 13, for Iowa’s Primary Elections. Cass County Auditor Kathy Somers says early voting will continue until one day before the election, on June 1, at the Cass County Auditor’s Office from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Somers says absentee ballot requests must be in by Monday, May 18. She says ballot forms are available on the Secretary of State’s website.
Somers says it is important to get pre-registered to vote. The deadline is Monday, May 18.
Somers adds that the primaries are different than the general election. To participate in the Primary, voters must pre-register with a party. She says residents can always re-register after the Primary Elections.
