(Iowa City, IA) — Another ex-Georgia Bulldog is coming to Iowa women’s basketball — Jocelyn Faison is the latest addition to the Hawkeyes via the transfer portal.
Faison is a 6’1″ guard from Atlanta, GA who averaged just under 8 minutes a game for Georgian with 1.3 points and 1.4 rebounds per game. The freshman played behind a Bulldog team that plenty of players in front of her in the rotation including Dani Carnegie who also is now a Hawkeye. Faison chose Georgia over top programs like Baylor, Ole Miss, Miami (FL) and Georgia Tech. Coming out of Langston High School, ESPN ranked her as one of the top 100 recruits in the country.
Faison joins Carnegie and Oklahoma St.’s Amari Whiting as the players transferring to Iowa via the portal. The Hawkeyes currently have 9 players on their roster so there is more room for Head Coach Jan Jensen to add in the portal — Iowa carried a roster of 14 players this past season.
Meanwhile, former Iowa Hawkeye Kennise Johnson has announced that she is transferring to Delaware. The 5’4″ guard only appeared in 20 games with the Hawkeyes due to a torn ACL in 2024-25.
