(Neola, IA) — Tri Center hosted a Boys Track Meet on Tuesday night and Collin Harder may have gotten himself into the Drake Relays in the 800. The Senior got a PR with a time of 1:55.28 in the two lap event and moved into the top ten times in the state. The blue standard is 1:54.00 and only two runners had achieved that this year but Harder is now within the top 16 times that qualify. Previously, Harder was ranked 81st at 2:03.10.
The best races of the meet were both the one mile and two mile where Haven Weers of Tri Center and Emmanuel Grass of Red Oak went head to head. Weers won the 1600 by .24 seconds and Grass won the 3200 by one second.
Riverside did not bring their full team but Wyatt Bell won the Shot Put and Trent Spiering won the Discus.
Cale Hall of Red Oak was a triple winner in the 100, 200 and ran the first leg of the Distance Medley relay.
RJ Dishong of Griswold finished 2nd in the Discus; Brayden Beck was 3rd in the Discus.
Logan Magnolia was the team champ with 112 points ahead of Red Oak in 2nd with 77. Fremont Mills was in third with 76, Tri Center 4th with 71 and AHSTW rounded out the top five with 47.
