(West Des Moines) Work continues on westbound Interstate 80 between the Southwest Mixmaster (I-35/I-80/I-235) and Grand Prairie Parkway (Exit 118). You need to be aware of upcoming nighttime road closures on this portion of westbound I-80 beginning on Wednesday, April 8, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Creston construction office.
Crews will close westbound I-80 on the following nights so crews can reconfigure traffic lanes.
-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 8 to 5 a.m. Thursday, April 9
-8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 9 to 5 a.m. Friday, April 10
-8:30 p.m. Sunday, April 12 to 5 a.m. Monday, April 13
Those traveling west on I-235 who want to reach westbound I-80 will exit at 50th Street (Exit 1A), turn onto University Avenue, and Grand Prairie Parkway (Exit 118), to reach westbound I-80.
Those traveling on northbound I-35 will exit at University Avenue (Exit 72C) and then travel on Grand Prairie Parkway (Exit 118), to reach westbound I-80.
