(Atlantic) The Atlantic Planning and Zoning Commission approved the Camblin Hills Development Preliminary Plat and application to rezone the 49-acre housing and 300-capacity daycare development project from R-2 single family to R-4 multiple families.
Dave Sturm of Synder and Associates submitted the preliminary plat for the new subdivision located north of East 22nd Street, between Olive Streets and East 19th Street, on 49.089 acres of land, known as the Camblin Hills Development. Sturm says the proposed subdivision will provide 60 lots, currently 54 of which are intended for single-family lots.
If approved by the Atlantic City Council, the recommendation would explicitly allow the construction of single-family, two-family, three-family, and four-family condominiums and townhomes. The single-family homes will be grouped in the smaller lots on the plat map, and the multifamily lots will be built in groups in the larger ones. The project will also include ten tiny homes, ranging from 450 to 800 square feet. The development project comprises three water retention basins, including one already in existence, and a recreation trail around the entire project.
Planning and Zoning Commission member Doug Bierbaum complimented Dave Sturm and the Vision Atlantic group for pursuing this project.
Sturm says the plan is to begin dirt work on the infrastructure this fall, with housing construction starting in the spring of 2025. The Atlantic City Council will act on the Planning and Zoning Commission’s recommendation at Wednesday night’s City Council meeting.
