(Marshalltown, IA) – The Class 1A High School Girl’s Golf Tournament in Marshalltown has finally concluded and Addison Brink officially finished 26th overall for the Riverside Bulldogs. Riverside’s senior has now concluded the tournament with 186 overall after shooting a 91 in round one and a 95 in round two.
In round two on Friday, Brink started out on hole 10 where she was able to shoot a bogey with a five on the par four. The next three holes she earned a double bogey or more and was able to shoot at par on hole 14 with a four. Hole 15 was the best hole for Brink where she shot a birdie with a four on the hole. Holes 16, 17, and 18 all were bogeys to lead into the front nine. On hole one, she was able to earn another par on the day with a four. Hole two featured a six for bogey and holes three and four were a double bogey or more. Addison was able to shoot one over on holes five, six, seven, eight, and nine to earn the final score of 95 on the day.
Jumping back to round one on Thursday for Addison Brink, the senior shot a 46 on the front nine and a 45 on the back nine. Brink started on hole 16 on the day and was able to start that hole off with a bogey at four. She cleaned up on holes 17 and 18 while shooting at par and earned a bogey on hole one with a five. Brink went on a streak of shooting just one over on holes two, three, four, and five, where she couldn’t get back down to that streak that she created on holes 17 and 18. On hole six, she shot a six which put her at a double bogey, and shot just one over once again on holes seven, eight, and nine. Jumping back to the back nine, Brink shot one over on hole 10 with a five, earned a double bogey on hole 11 with a six, and shot just one over par on hole 12. On holes 13 and 15, Brink shot a double bogey, and on hole 14, she just shot one over.
Addison now finishes the tournament with 186 overall and competed throughout the state tournament to be able to earn her 26th place finish with a +44 to par gross.
