Sharon Husz, 79, of Carson, IA passed away on Tuesday, April 9,2024 at the CHI Health Bergan Mercy in Omaha, NE. Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 15,2024 at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Treynor with Pastor Emily Dalen officiating. Visitation with the family present will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Carson. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Carson is caring for Sharon and her family.
In lieu of flowers the family will direct memorials in Sharon’s memory.
Sharon Mae Blatny one of five children of Ernest Henry and Irene Sharon (Kavan) Blatny was born on August 17, 1944, in Prague, NE. She married Curtiss William Husz on May 17, 1963, in Treynor, IA. The couple was blessed with two children James and Debra.
She loved her Angus cattle, spending time in the garden, enjoyed working with ceramics at her shop in Carson, but most of all she loved her family, especially her grandkids. Her happiest moments were spent on the road with her Angus friends helping them out and spending time with them looking at cattle.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Iowa Angus Association, where she was the first female to sit on the Iowa Angus Board, and multiple other associations.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Debra Husz, and brother Ernest Blatny Jr.
Sharon is survived by her husband Curtiss of Carson, IA; son, James Husz of Maryville, MO; grandchildren, Jon Reed and his wife Ellie and their two children Ella and Jacob, Jordan Husz and Taylor Husz; sisters Eileen Vendetti of DeFiniak Springs, FL, Diane Adams of Red Oak; brothers Bob Blatny and wife Kyla Alva of Council Bluffs, David Blatny and wife Debra of Carson; other relatives and a host of many friends.
