(Ames, IA) – Iowa State’s Audi Crooks was named an AP All-America Honorable Mention. Crooks is the first freshman at Iowa State to ever earn All-America status. The Cyclones have featured an AP All-American for seven consecutive seasons including Ashley Joens in four of her five seasons at Iowa State.
Crooks continues to lead Big XII freshmen and the Cyclones this season with 18.9 points and 7.7 rebounds per game this season. The freshman holds records for single-season points with a total of 585 and in field goals with a total of 237 with 106 made free throws from the line, a new record.
The Iowa State superstar has also been named to a number of awards this season. She was a unanimous All-Big XII First Team selection and was a Big XII All-Tournament team member. The Algona, Iowa native finished with quite a few 20-point games, 16 to be exact, and has had double-digit scoring in each of the last 29 games for ISU.
Crooks and the Cyclones will return to action in Stanford, California as the #7-seeded Cyclones will take on the #10-seeded Maryland Terrapins at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
