(Ames, IA) – Iowa State women’s basketball has a chance to break the tide once again this year as they’re headed to the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament. This marks the fifth straight time that the Cyclones are going to the NCAA Tournament.
This is the 22nd NCAA Tournament appearance for Iowa State as Bill Fennelly has led them through every single one. Iowa State has now played in 15 of the last 17 tournaments. They will enter as the #10 seed, facing off against the #7 seed Maryland Terrapins.
Iowa State finished the season at 20-11 while posting a 12-6 conference record. This is a very different Cyclone team than the last time they made the tournament, as over 70% of their scoring either graduated or transferred after the 2022-23 season. This year, Iowa State beat the #4-seeded Baylor Bears and the #1-seeded Oklahoma Sooners to end up losing a tight game to the #5-seed Texas.
All Iowa State fans, donors, season ticket holders, and students can purchase tickets through Stanford University’s website. Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday, March 19th at 12:00 p.m.
The Cyclones hit the ground running on Friday, March 22nd at 6:30 p.m. against Maryland.
