(Atlantic) The Atlantic Boy’s track team will get its first taste of competition on Thursday at the IATC Indoor Meet at the Lied Center in Ames.
Atlantic Head Boys Track Coach Abby Becker says the weather has been ideal for preseason workouts.
The Trojans return eight seniors from last year’s squad that qualified in eight events for the state track meet in Des Moines.
Practice started on February 19. Coach Becker says they have conducted some practice runs to give the coaching staff an idea of where they are and the type of workouts they need to formulate.
Becker says they are focusing on the little things heading into this indoor meet at Ames tomorrow and Northwest Missouri State next weekend.
The Boy’s outdoor season begins on March 26 at Denison.
