(Atlantic) Ross Martens captured the open division title at the 65th Annual Tournament of Champions at the Atlantic Golf and Country Club over the weekend.
Martens shot a three-day total (201), 68-64-69, six under par. Zach Christianson shot 64-72-69 and finished runner-up for the tournament at two under par. Matt Haley and Alec Fuhs finished tied for third at +1; Jared Kock, +2; Matt Weresh and Justin Livingston, +4; Hank Weresh, +5; Alex Bireline, Evan Smith, and Avery Fuhs rounded out the top ten at +6.
Chris Nelson won the Senior Division with a 71-68-69, one over par 208. Bret Taylor finished runner-up, +7; Darby McLaren, +17, Scott Retzlaff, +17; Shane Burmeister, +20, Daryl Armstrong and Bill Matzdorff, +21; Ryan Clark, +22, Dustin McLaren, +24; and Joe Pudenz rounded out the top ten with a +25.
Rick Thompson topped the Super Senior Division with a four over par 211. Thompson shot a 70-69-72. John Willmore finished second at +9; Rick Carter, +14; Del Miller, +15; Mick Allen, +21; Arnie Leistad, +24; Kirk Nelson, +26; Jim Simmelink, +29; Larry Frakes, +34; and Kim Peters rounded out the top ten with a +36.
