(Mount Pleasant) According to KCRG, Iowa Wesleyan University in Mount Pleasant is in its final months of operation.
The Cedar Rapids TV station reports Iowa Wesleyan’s Board of Trustees voted unanimously on Tuesday to close the university at the end of this academic year.
The announcement comes after an analysis of the school’s financial operations and looking at all feasible strategic alternatives.
The report says the focus now is on assuring the over 850 students have a smooth transition to another educational opportunity.
