(Des Moines, IA) Governor Kim Reynolds’ health care proposal is ready for debate in the Iowa House. The bill sets up a system for rural hospitals to get reimbursed for emergency services, gives two million dollars to the MOMS program’s pregnancy resource centers, and lets Iowans get birth control without a prescription. The bill also creates a new program to train family medicine doctors on managing pregnancies, including delivering babies.
