Lewis Central Headlines 2026 Hawkeye Ten All-Conference Baseball Selections

(Glenwood) Glenwood Athletic Director Jeff Bissen released the Hawkeye Ten Conference Baseball teams on Thursday morning.

Lewis Central captured the 2026 Hawkeye Ten Conference baseball championship, finishing with an impressive 19-1 conference record to claim the league title. Harlan earned runner-up honors at 16-4, while Denison-Schleswig finished third with a 14-6 conference mark in another highly competitive Hawkeye Ten season.

Following the conclusion of the season, conference coaches selected the 2026 Hawkeye Ten All-Conference Baseball Team, recognizing the league’s top performers with First Team, Second Team and Honorable Mention honors.

A total of seven players earned unanimous First Team recognition, denoted by (**). Those selections included Thomas Mikkelsen of Creston, Cole Kastner and Owen Galvin of Denison-Schleswig, Colton Schneider of Harlan, Blake Fort and Brooks Bond of Lewis Central, and Logan Twyman of Shenandoah.

The conference extends sincere appreciation to Lewis Central, Red Oak, and Shenandoah for their years of membership and contributions to the Hawkeye Ten. As they prepare to join new conferences beginning in the 2026-2027 school year, the league thanks them for their competitive spirit and sportsmanship.

The Hawkeye Ten also looks forward to welcoming Carroll High as a new conference member, marking an exciting new chapter for the league.
