(Griswold) The Griswold School Board approved bids on Monday for a lighting and gym painting project and received a certified enrollment update.
Griswold Schools Superintendent Dave Henrichs said the certified enrollment count, the number of students residing in the district, is down ten. The bed enrollment represents the number of students attending a school, no matter where they live.
Henrichs says the reason for the bed enrollment decline is open enrollment out of the district.
The School Board also agreed to replace thirty outside lights with LED lights for $8,700. Henrichs says the project will save the district about $5,000 in electric use and a return on investment of 1.66 years. The Board also approved the Middle School Painting Project bid of a little over $17,000 from Larsen Painting in Council Bluffs.
In other business, The district continues to search for a Middle School English Teacher.
