(Atlantic) At Wednesday’s organizational meeting, the Atlantic School Board re-elected Jenny Williams as School Board president and elected Laura McLean as the board vice-president. The vote followed the swearing-in of newly elected board members Kristy Pellett and Josh McLaren both incumbents.
The new board appointed Sarah Sheeder as School Board Treasurer and Board Secretary, Nick Hunt as the County Conference Board Representative, and Josh Rasmussen as the Title IX Coordinator and Equity Coordinator. The board also appointed Williams as the certified staff meeting representative and Nick Hunt as the non-certified staff meeting representative.
The board agreed to meet on the second and fourth Wednesdays each month and decided to move the meeting time from 6:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The school board approved the amendment to the 2021-2022 school calendar. The change cancels classes on January 17 due to a professional development and wellness day.
