(Des Moines) The National Weather Service is forecasting strong to severe storms overnight, mainly south of Interstate 80. Large hail and damaging winds are the main hazards.
A serve thunderstorm watch is in effect until 5:00 a.m. for Cass, Adair, Adams, Fremont, Mills, Montgomery, Page, Ringgold, Taylor, and Union Counties.
Widespread thunderstorm chances return to the area on Sunday. Periodic thunderstorm chances continue through the upcoming week.
