(Area) A line of severe thunderstorms rolled through parts of west-central and southwest Iowa late Wednesday night.
The National Weather Service issued Severe Thunderstorm warnings for Crawford and Carroll Counties until 10:30 p.m. Another warning was issued for Audubon and Guthrie Counties from 10:30 p.m. to around 11:20 p.m.
Strong winds near Templeton snapped to two-inch to six-inch tree branches. The storm knocked a tree down, blocking Highway 141, two miles northwest of Manilla. A weather station reported strong wind gusts of 60 miles per hour, six miles west of Gray in Audubon County. Another weather station reported a 62-mile per hour wind gust two miles south of Willey in Carroll County and a 59-mile per hour wind gust two miles northwest of Carroll.
