(Audubon) Vendor permits for the 2021 T-Bone Days Celebration in Audubon will be waived.
The City Council made the decision during their meeting this week, but will revisit this topic in the future. “There was a lot of discussion on how to handle vendors and transient merchants and peddlers. Our ordinance is a little confusing in terms of identifying who those people are and what all they need to do to get a permit.”
City Clerk Joe Foran says a work session at a future date will re-evaluate the ordinance to become more clear. Currently there is a $10 application fee, along with $5 per sales person among other charges. “They also have to pay a fee depending on how long they want the license period to go and then they are allowed to sell in town. The exceptions are farmers, local people, and non-profit groups.”
Elsewhere, a bid of $5,937 for geo technical service from Thiele was approved. Also approved was the hiring of Jennifer Stetzel as Deputy Clerk. Raises of 3% were given to the Public Works Director and City Clerk.
