(Greenfield) Adair County Public Health is currently scheduling vaccine appointments for all adults. Anyone 18 and older is eligible, beginning April 5. Insurance is not required and there is no fee for the vaccination.
It is the ideal time to get vaccinated, as we have sufficient supply of vaccine for our area. In fact, according to Public Health, it is imperative that everyone who wants to receive the vaccine schedule an appointment now. We must continue to administer 80 percent of our vaccine allotment each week to receive a full allotment the following week. This is proving to be challenging as demand has decreased recently.
Public Health strongly encourages everyone to schedule an appointment right away. Our waitlist is not long at this time, and most people will be able to get in within 1-2 weeks. Please sign up today by calling or emailing.

VACCINE SAFETY HIGHLIGHTS
- The COVID-10 vaccines currently available in the United States do not contain live or dead virus. Individuals who receive the vaccine may develop flu like symptoms such as tiredness, fever and headaches after receiving one or both doses of the vaccine, but these usually resolve within three days.
- The vaccines were tested in large clinical trials to ensure they met safety standards. Many people participated to see how the vaccine offers protection to people of different ages, races, ethnicities and with different medical conditions.
