(Audubon) A Cass County man faces burglary charges in connection with an investigation in Exira.
The Audubon County Sheriff’s Office arrested 58-year old Dennis Petersen, of Atlantic, for 3rd –degree burglary, 1st -degree Theft, and 5th – degree Criminal Mischief. The charges stem from an investigation into a theft in the 400 Block of West Washington in Exira. Petersen was held on a $15,000 bond. On March 25th, authorities charged Petersen with Violation of Probation, and the magistrate tacked on an additional $2000 cash bond.

On March 20, Deputies arrested 36-year old Samantha Andersen of Exira, for 1st-degree theft. Her charge stems from an investigation into a theft in the 400 Block of West Washington.
On March 20, deputies arrested 27-year old Kaz Cozad of Audubon for OWI-2nd offense. He was released on his own recognizance and will appear before the magistrate at a later time. The charge stems from a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Highway 71.
On March 25, deputies arrested 59-year old Dave Porter of Exira for 3rd – degree harassment. Porter pled guilty, and the court released him. The charge stems from an incident in the 100 block of East South Street in Exira.
On March 26, deputies arrested 35-year old Robert Crawley of Hamlin on an outstanding Parole Violation Warrant. He was also charged with a Sex Offender Registry Verification Violation. Crawley is being held on no bond.
